Terrace House ~ Maratea is part of a villa that is located in Fiumicello Street in Maratea Santavenere, a small center that offers all the services to the locals. It is accessed via a gate at the road level and a staircase full of plants typical of the Mediterranean scrub.

The apartment is divided into two levels:

  • On the first level there is a cooking area equipped with oven and fridge, a small living room with sofa and dining table and a bathroom with window and shower,
    disengaged from the leaving area.
  • On the second level, which is accessed via a convenient wooden and wrought iron spiral staircase, there are two large double bedrooms, a corridor that connects them and opens a second bathroom with a window and a shower, and a disengagement from which is accessed to the furnished terrace, with stunning sea views and from which you can admire wonderful sunsets.

The two bedrooms are both equipped with a TV and air conditioning and, if necessary, can be transformed into two twin bedrooms, with two single beds each and possibly one further single bed.

Terrace House ~ Maratea  also comes with washing machine and wi-fi and private parking.

The area where the facility is located is near the sea, about 200 meters, it can be reached on foot, and is also served by public transport.

In addition to the beauties of the Maratea coast, which can be visited by sea through numerous services located in the nearby and evocative marina, we find the cave of the Wonders, located along the SS 18 Tirrena Inferiore, linking the communal capital to the hamlet of Marina di Maratea.
Discovered by chance in 1929, during the construction of the road, the explored part of the cave is about 90 meters long and represents the smallest natural cavity in Italy and the only visitable of Basilicata: the environment measures about 70 m² high about 6-7 meters and rich in stalactites and stalagmites, columns, calcite structures and many spaghetti, that is, extremely thin and delicate stalactites.

In the upper part of the village of Maratea, in addition to the characteristic and evocative village, rich in activity, typical Lucan restaurant and various attractions, we find the Christ, a statue of 22 meters
high, located near the old settlement of the village, now abandoned , which embraces and dominates the whole valley, contrasting with the Basilica dedicated to the patron saint, S.Biagio.
The road leading to this unique place is an extraordinary work of engineering, designed around 1960 by the architect of Lucania, Gae Aulenti, then the designer of the most famous Museo D’Orsai in Paris.

Also in Basilicata, not far from Maratea, we find the small village of Rivello whose origins date back to the High Middle Ages, although many archaeological finds suggest that Rivello is the heir to the Lucan city,
already existing from the pre-Roman period Sirinos. They still resist the toponomastic references to the two opposing ethnicities that gave life to the city: the Longobards, surely disposed of as a result of the
barbarian invasions, and the Greeks, probably coming, following its destruction by the Saracens, by the nearby Velia from which they say derives the modern name (Rivello or Re-Velia).
